Campaign is a series of prints made in response to the post-truth world in which we currently reside, where facts are regularly manipulated to suit the needs of the individual on a daily basis, and where the lies, that had previously been covertly manufactured in an intricate form of subterfuge during the Cold War period, are now, unashamedly laid out on the table for all to see.
Consciously utilising the role played by the T Shirt as a vehicle for protest, Tony uses it as a device to address both the jingoistic propaganda presented in the media and the social impact of political decisions that range from war to institutional sexism.
With the spotlight being pointed at the slogans on the T Shirts and the subtext buried in the accompanying titles, 'Campaign' is essentially the artists response to the world around him, and a manifesto for putting it to right.
